Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Correctional Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in correctional facilities. You will collaborate with healthcare teams, officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population, delivering routine and emergency care in a unique correctional setting.

The role requires an active RN license in the practicing state, CPR if applicable, and the ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.
