Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Correctional Nurses (RNs) to join our healthcare teams across multiple Correctional facilities. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in a correctional setting, you will provide essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring they receive proper medical care, treatment, and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals, including assessment, treatment, and education on various medical issues.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate documentation and follow‑up.
• Monitor and manage patients with chronic conditions, ensuring appropriate interventions and care plans are in place.
• Perform health assessments and physical exams, identifying both acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Provide emergency care and first aid, responding to medical emergencies within the facility.
• Assist with the management of communicable diseases, infection control, and preventive care programs.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
• Educate inmates on health issues, disease prevention, wellness, and self‑care.

Qualifications‏

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of RN nursing experience (correctional or acute care experience preferred).
• Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through AHA or ARC.
• Skills:
