Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Correctional Registered Nurse for travel assignments in New York facilities. This role offers opportunities to work in secure environments and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide both routine and emergency care to incarcerated patients, drawing on your nursing expertise in a challenging correctional setting. Travel may be required between sites in Oxford and Montrose, NY.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Collaborates with healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure inmate health.
• Provides routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.
