Job summary

Amergis, a leading healthcare staffing provider, seeks a Correctional Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate care in correctional facilities. The RN collaborates with doctors, nurses, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure timely routine and emergency care for inmates.

Requirements include an active NY RN license, CPR, at least 18 years old, and a minimum of one year in correctional health care preferred; contract positions in Ovid, Romulus, and Syracuse, NY with competitive pay

Qualifications

• Active RN license for the state of practice (NY).
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with otherhealthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensurethe well-being of the incarcerated population.The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specificchallenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing careto their patient population.
