Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Canon City, CO. You will provide routine and emergency nursing care within a correctional facility, coordinating with healthcare staff, officers and admins to support inmate health.

Active RN license in the state, CPR as applicable, and a preference for 1 year of correctional health care experience. Benefits include competitive pay, weekly paychecks and health/dental/vision insurance plus a 401(k) plan.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
