Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) in Arlington, VA for a Per Diem position. The RN will provide routine and emergency care in a correctional facility, collaborating with health care staff, correctional officers, and administrators to support inmate well-being.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, with preference for correctional health care experience and related certifications. Per diem hours are available, and compensation is $50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state where the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• CCHP-RN Certification preferred.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, correctional officers and administrators to ensure inmate health and safety.
• Address challenges of care within the correctional environment while providing routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with otherhealthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensurethe well-being of the incarcerated population.The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specificchallenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing careto their patient population.
