Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania invites applications for a Corrections Counselor 2 at the State Correctional Institution Greene in Waynesburg, PA. This full-time position focuses on counseling and casework to aid inmate reintegration, with duties spanning interview, guidance, program development, and documentation.

Salary ranges from $64,574 to $98,144 annually. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of professional counseling or casework in a correctional facility.
Special Requirements include CLEAN and JNET certification within two months of employment.

Responsibilities

Counsel inmates and provide guidance on adjustment, conflict resolution and personal challenges.
Assist inmates in developing social, educational, and vocational skills for reentry to their communities.
Develop and maintain records and reports to support coordinated inmate management and reintegration planning.
Analyze tests and evaluations to determine programming needs and compile case documentation.
Organize programming, activities, and services through a multidisciplinary approach to support behavioral change.
Prepare parole reports and assist with services that aid community reintegration.
