Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILITATION & REENTRY is seeking a qualified CORRECTIONAL RECORDS TECHNICIAN I at ASPC-Eyman, Florence. Primary duties include checking daily arrivals for future release dates, maintaining tentative release lists, and ensuring inmates are released per law and policy.

The position involves release paperwork processing, coordinating with authorities, data entry in ACIS, and supporting ICE detainers and related procedures within a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of: ARS and ADCRR policies governing releases, detainers, and warrants
• Filing systems for inmate records and work management
• English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• PCs and software including MS Word and ACIS
• Mathematics
• Interpreting court documents and legal terminology

Responsibilities

• Verifies release eligibility per statutes and policies before release
• Processes release paperwork
• Notifies authorities with release dates
• Arranges transportation to placement
• Coordinates parole hearings and processes paperwork
• Processes Sex Offender Registration with DPS and SOR unit
• Processes commitment paperwork for Arizona State Hospital
• Answers staff questions about inmate records and sentencing
• Reviews and enters data in ACIS for accuracy
• Corrects data for proper time computation in ACIS
• Analyzes court orders and commitments for accuracy
• Processes ICE detainers and prepares inmates for ICE pickup
• Ensures ICE hearings scheduled and liaises with Central Office/ICE
• Attends staff meetings and mandatory trainings
• Drives on State business
• Performs other duties as assigned
