Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILITATION & REENTRY (ADCRR) – Tucson is seeking a CORRECTIONAL RECORDS TECHNICIAN I to verify release eligibility, process release paperwork, and coordinate with authorities to ensure inmates are released as required by law. You will manage data in ACIS and support transfer arrangements in a busy correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Arizona Revised Statutes and ADCRR policy and procedures governing releases, detainer’s, and warrants.
• Ability to read and interpret court documents and legal terminology.
• Proficiency with data entry and time calculation using ACIS and office software.
• Strong command of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Verifies release eligibility in accordance with applicable state statutes, policies and procedures prior to offender’s release.
• Processes release paperwork and notifies authorities with pending release dates.
• Arranges transportation to approved placement and coordinates parole hearings.
• Processes ICE Detainer’s and prepares inmates for pickup by ICE; acts as liaison with ICE.
• Ensures accurate data entry in ACIS and reviews court orders and commitments.
