Job summary

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office is seeking Corrections Professionals to ensure inmate safety and security at Kenosha County Detention Facilities. The role involves supervision, enforcing facility rules, managing inmate movement, and responding to emergencies.

Rotating 12‑hour shifts, with pay at $27.54 per hour plus differential pay on PM shifts and holidays. Qualifications include being 18+, high school diploma or GED, valid Wisconsin driver's license, no felony or domestic violence

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license without restrictions.
• Background free of felony and domestic violence convictions.
• Certification eligibility by Law Enforcement Standards Board.

Responsibilities

• Maintains custody, security, supervision, discipline and welfare of inmates.
• Maintains order during meals, recreation, showering, and other times.
• Processes, searches, strips, and bodily examines inmates with dignity.
• Issues supplies and dispenses medications.
• Prepares reports and keeps detailed records.
• Performs other duties as required.
