Green County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time jailer. Starting pay is $26.67 per hour with a night-shift differential. The position offers Wisconsin Retirement Fund, comprehensive county benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, deferred compensation), and uniforms and gear provided.

Additional pay for Jail Training Officer, DOJ Instructor, bilingual, and incentive pay for physical readiness. Lateral Entry may apply.

Formación

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• U.S. citizen per Wis. Stats. 66.0501(2)
• No disqualifying felonies or domestic violence convictions
• Good character and no conditions that impair duties
• Able to meet physical performance requirements
• Vision correctable to 20/20
• Capable of LESB Jailer certification and 24-hour recertifications
• Residency within 40 miles of Green County Sheriff's Office after probation

Responsabilidades

• Maintain safety, security and discipline in the jail.
• Intervene to stop disturbances and conduct inmate searches.
• Surveil inmates and take custody or release as required.
• Prepare reports and other required paperwork.
• Work a rotating 12-hour schedule including nights and weekends.
• Be available for every other Fri-Sat-Sun off.
