Job summary

Fidelity Partners is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at the Federal Correctional Institute-Gilmer in Glenville, WV. The role supports the Health Service Department, reading prescriptions, selecting medications, and preparing orders under a pharmacist's review.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a state-approved training program for Pharmacy Technicians with internship.
• Must hold a West Virginia Pharmacy Technician license.
• Minimum of one year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• CPR certification from ARC or AHA is required.
• Experience in a correctional environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff pharmacist with ordering, stocking, storing and dispensing medications.
• Maintain clean, organized pharmacy areas and comply with safety guidelines.
• Keep stock records, Pyxis medication cards, and unit dose inventories updated.
• Support clerical tasks using the BOP electronic medical record system.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and improve organizational performance.
