Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician for Tipton Correctional Center in Tipton, Missouri. The role supports a Licensed Pharmacist, handling prescription data, maintaining stock, and coordinating with the contracted pharmacy for processing.

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a current Pharmacy Technician license, and at least one year of related experience. Security clearance and background checks are required; shift is days, Monday–Friday with every 3rd

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Current certification and licensure as a Pharmacy Technician or L1MA required.
• Minimum one year experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist. He/She will aid and assist the Pharmacist in assigned supervised duties to include interacting with healthcare professionals, corrections and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the pharmacy department.
• Duties will include typing prescription data into the pharmacy computerized filing system, ensuring proper maintenance and operation of a well-stocked pharmacy, and ensuring prescription orders are faxed to the contracted pharmacy for processing.
• Our Pharmacy Technicians also maintain pharmacy files on prescriptions, requisitions, medication logs, drug and patient information, purchase orders and other records, as required by the Pharmacist.
