Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Stands watch in halls or towers to control inmate movement.
• Supervises inmate groups on work details and conducts counts.
• Inspects quarters for safety and contraband; searches inmates and visitors.
• Maintains alertness and reports unusual conditions and disturbances.
• Keeps records and writes reports on inmate progress and incidents.
• Explains rules and available services to inmates; assists with personal, educational, and work opportunities.
