Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• Must be 20 years of age or older; 19½ at application.
• Strong command of English, written and verbal; good physical condition.
• Meet state and federal firearm requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of detainees with appropriate force.
• Process detainee information; handle valuables and property.
• Supervise detainee work crews and escort prisoners to various locations.
• Coordinate and monitor facility operations and repairs; use records management systems.
• Provide meals, laundry, and housekeeping; assist medical personnel.
• Assist with visitation, transportation, and court security; respond to emergencies.
