Job summary

CoreCivic in the United States is seeking a Mental Health Coordinator to plan and provide non-medical clinical mental health services in a correctional facility. You will conduct screenings, develop treatment plans and document care in each health record.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling, with at least five years of clinical experience and current licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT). A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
• Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable role.
• Current certification/licensure in the state (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
• Valid driver’s license preferred unless contract dictates otherwise.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments.
• Develop, implement and modify individual treatment plans.
• Document treatment and evaluation activities in health care records.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of counseling theory and techniques.
