THE POSITION

As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman with the Department of Corrections (DOC), you will take the lead in daily maintenance and repair work that keeps the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Huntingdon running at its best. This role gives you the chance to guide inmate crews, apply a wide range of trade skills, and take ownership of projects that make a clear difference. You will help create a cleaner, more efficient, and well‑maintained facility through strong direction and hands‑on expertise. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position oversees inmate crews and supports a wide range of maintenance, repair, and trades work across SCI Huntingdon. The role helps ensure that daily operations, facility upkeep, and work assignments are completed accurately and efficiently. As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will perform the following duties:

• Crew Supervision: Oversee inmate work crews completing construction, groundskeeping, janitorial, and general maintenance tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $49,010.00 (before taxes).
