Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Corrections is seeking a Corrections Maintenance Foreman for the State Correctional Institution Coal Township. You will supervise inmate work crews and apply leadership and trade expertise across a dynamic, multi-trade maintenance environment.

Qualifications

Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work.
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
Possess a valid driver’s license that is not suspended.
Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

Direct inmate work crews, assign daily schedules, inspect completed assignments, and maintain order during work activities.
Oversee maintenance, repair, construction, groundskeeping, and janitorial operations across the facility.
Perform skilled work in carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, refrigeration, masonry, welding, steam-fitting, and related trades.
Provide instruction on operation and preventative maintenance of machinery and vehicles.
Manage tools and materials, conduct inventories, and submit purchase requests as needed.
