Job summary
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse to provide general and emergency nursing care in a Corrections Facility, while ensuring security standards are maintained. The role requires a valid LPN license and eligibility to practice in the applicable state.
Travel assignment in Norfolk, VA with benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and weekly paychecks.
Qualifications
- Current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
- Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
- Current CPR if applicable.
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Provide general and emergency nursing care in the Corrections Facility.
- Maintain facility security standards during care.
- Interact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis.
