Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse for travel assignments in multiple Virginia facilities. The role involves daily contact with adults and children in custody, delivering general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections while upholding security protocols.

Applicants must hold a current LPN license in the applicable state, have CPR if required, and meet all federal/state regulations.

Qualifications

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility.
• Works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis.
• Maintains facility security standards while delivering nursing care.
