Job summary
Minnesota Department of Corrections seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for part-time work in Stillwater. The LPN will support practitioners and registered nurses in delivering health care to incarcerated individuals, performing rooming, phlebotomy, and chronic care clinic activities.
Responsibilities include administering medications, obtaining vitals, and aiding in health services under rotating day/evening shifts.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing and MN Practical Nurse license without restrictions.
- Computer experience to complete electronic charting and basic email use.
Responsibilities
- Assist practitioners and RNs in providing health care to incarcerated individuals.
- Perform rooming activities including vitals and documenting complaints.
- Conduct phlebotomy and collect blood/urine samples as ordered by practitioners.
