Job summary

Osceola County Sheriff's Office is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse to render nursing care for inmate patients. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform wound care, IV therapy, and collect specimens in a correctional setting.

You will document treatments in the EMR, ensure orders are correctly transposed, and respond to emergencies under state and federal guidelines. CPR certification and an active Florida LPN license are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Florida LPN license and be in good standing.
• High school diploma or GED required; CPR certification required.
• Experience in nursing within a correctional or similar setting is a plus.
• Proficient in patient assessment, documentation, and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, monitor vital signs, wound care, IV therapy, and specimen collection.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments; respond to emergencies in the facility.
• Accurately document data, administer MAR entries, and maintain EMR/medication records.
• Follow orders from medical staff and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
