Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Corrections LPN/LVN for a travel assignment in Portland, OR. The nurse provides general and emergency nursing care in the Corrections facility, while adhering to security standards and state requirements.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN/LVN license, has at least one year of corrections experience, and maintains CPR certification. Responsibilities include patient care, compliance with professional standards, and meeting regulatory health criteria.

Qualifications

• Possesses a current LPN/LVN license in state practicing.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse/ LicensedVocational Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and juvenilesin custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in theMedical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintainingfacility security standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Possesses a current LPN/LVN license in state practicing

• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections required

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable
