Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Corrections LPN travel nurse to provide general and emergency nursing care in Arlington, VA. You will work in a corrections facility, supporting adults and juveniles while upholding security standards.

The role requires state LPN/LVN licensure, at least one year in corrections, CPR certification, TB screening if needed, and compliance with all laws. It is a travel position with 36 hours per week and a weekly pay schedule.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed LPN/LVN in the practicing state.
• At least one year of Corrections nursing experience.
• Complies with applicable professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• TB screening (PPD or chest x-ray) if applicable.
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and emergency nursing care in the Corrections setting.
• Maintain facility security standards while delivering care.
• Work in close, daily contact with adults and juveniles in custody.

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse/ LicensedVocational Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and juvenilesin custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in theMedical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintainingfacility security standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Possesses a current LPN/LVN license in state practicing

• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections required

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
