Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a correctional, behavioral, or penal institution with responsibility for security, custody, rehabilitation, or classification of offenders, or in law enforcement or security.
• Must meet necessary special requirements including PREA and age requirements.
• Possession of a current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assigns daily posts and responsibilities to subordinate officers to ensure proper staffing levels and security coverage.
• Provides on-the-job training and guidance to ensure officers understand duties and performance expectations.
• Counsels staff and offenders on daily operational or behavioral issues affecting safety and unit functioning.
