Job summary

Qualifications

Two years of experience in a correctional, behavioral, or penal institution with responsibility for security, custody, rehabilitation, or classification of offenders.
Possession of a high school diploma or GED; OR one year of experience in any field; OR six months of law enforcement experience as a POST certified peace officer.
Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
Possession of a current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations and ensure safety, security, and orderly environment for staff and inmates.
Guide staff development and ensure policy compliance.
Support staff while upholding the mission, values, and standards of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections.
