Qualifications

• Knowledge of dietary needs and portion control procedures.
• Knowledge of sanitation and infection control methods for food and food preparation.
• Knowledge of volume cooking methods and food handling techniques.
• Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
• Oregon Food Handler’s Card.

Responsibilities

• Stores, prepares, distributes and serves meals under sanitary conditions.
• Prepares trays containing serving portions meeting dietary/menu requirements.
• Performs sanitation duties to maintain sanitary conditions as per ORS 624.100.
• Supervises loading and delivering of food carts to housing pods.
• Maintains inventory and procurement of supplies, equipment, and food products.
• Operates food service equipment (mixers, steamers, ovens, grills, dishwasher).
• Prepares special medical and religious diets as approved by medical staff.
• Reports incidents and maintains kitchen security and order.
