Job summary

Tigg's Canteen Services in Peru, Indiana is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee daily food service operations at the Miami County Jail. You will lead a team, ensure meals are prepared safely, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.

This role offers a Monday–Saturday schedule with a starting pay of $20.00 per hour and a benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and PTO. Candidates must be able to obtain security clearance and have a high school diploma or GED.

• Can read and follow company recipes, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
• Lead, train, and support kitchen staff.
• Assist with food preparation, baking, cooking, serving, and clean-up.
• Ensure recipes, portion control, and food safety standards are followed.
• Maintain sanitation and organization throughout the kitchen.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and product control.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment in a correctional facility.
