Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates in food preparation, coordinate duties, and ensure sanitation and safety compliance within a correctional facility.

The role requires experience in food preparation, supervisory skills, and the ability to work with inmates. Training is provided to ensure adherence to Aramark recipes, portion control, and HACCP standards. Flexibility to meet client and location needs is expected.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years of age required.
• Minimum 1 year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain production guidelines per Aramark standards.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely and compliant meal service and adherence to guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Print and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in using Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; keep storage areas secured.
• Return all kitchen tools and keys to designated areas.
• Determine work procedures, schedules, and sanitation routines for cooks and inmates.
• Assist in inventory, receiving, and storage of food; place orders as needed.
• Participate in 5 P's: Participation, Pulls, Production, Portion Control, Postproduction.
• Follow Aramark SOPs for food handling and HACCP procedures.
