Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members in a correctional environment.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification and maintain it.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly according to guidelines.
• Train workers in duties and assign/coordinate work to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure sanitation and personal safety by conforming to standards and regulations.
• Maintain logs, review population counts, and follow security policies.
• Assist in inventory, storage of food items, and adherence to HACCP procedures.
