GEO Secured Services in the United States is seeking a full-time role in the food services department within a correctional facility. The position focuses on directing, supervising, and monitoring detainees during food preparation, cleanup, and sanitation while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, ACA training, and prior experience in commercial or institutional meal preparation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• ACA required training and facility training standards as per GEO.
• Experience in commercial or institutional meal preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and monitor detainees assigned to Food Services in terms of food preparation, cleanup, and sanitation.
• Monitor inmate or detainee movements, conduct counts, and respond to emergencies.
• Perform shakedowns for contraband materials and confiscate prohibited items as per policies and procedures.
• Keep daily logs on inmates (including disciplinary reports).
• Provide prompt and appropriate assistance to those who have been injured, ill, or have suffered trauma.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to keep your facility clean.
