Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years college level education in law enforcement or related field preferred.
• At least 21 years of age and reside within two hours of Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
• Must meet minimum DPSST requirements and be CPR/First Aid certified; LEDS/NCIC certs desired.
• Oregon Driver’s License with insurable driving record or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake processing and custody assessments.
• Search accepted inmates for drugs, weapons, and contraband.
• Classify and house inmates by crime severity, behavior, medical needs, and housing needs.
• Complete booking procedures including photographs, fingerprints, and charges.
• Apply restraints and monitor inmates to prevent self-harm; administer medications as ordered.
