Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking qualified candidates for a classifications and parole support role. The position involves evaluating offender needs, managing classification files, and coordinating with treatment teams to support safe and successful reentry.

Minimum qualifications include substantial experience in probation, parole, or corrections, with allowances for college credit substitutions. Competitive benefits are provided by the state.

Formación

• Four or more years of experience as a Probation & Parole Assistant, Correctional Officer, or Office Support Assistant or above within the Missouri Department of Corrections.
• Four or more years of vocational or paraprofessional experience in social services, probation and parole, corrections casework/custody, law enforcement, guidance/counseling, mental health, health, substance use, public/business administration, or closely related experience.
• Credit hours substitution is allowed at 30 hours per one year.

Responsabilidades

• Serves on a classification team; evaluates offender’s adjustment and transfer plans.
• Secures and verifies information from incarcerated offenders; maintains classification files.
• Assesses classification status using AICS, RCA, ICA instruments.
• Acts as grievance officer; handles IRRs; conducts hearings; participates in treatment meetings.
• Processes offender records and updates lists as required.
• Handles offender property, mail, and related administrative tasks.
• Assists in offender vocational and educational planning; reviews visiting applications.
• Cooperates with agencies and law enforcement; arranges calls to attorneys and public agencies.
• Performs duties per established rules and regulations.
