Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Corrections is seeking an Administrative Manager to oversee budgeting, procurement and related administrative duties for the institution. You will ensure financial controls, prepare reports, and support operations and inmate-related processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; related work experience acceptable.
• Bachelor's degree may be substituted for related work experience.
• Prefer 2 years of accounting or accounting-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain budget for institution across all areas.
• Staff sponsor for inmate representative committee.
• Order and distribute supplies for the institution, including office supplies.
• Maintain petty cash fund.
• Conduct audits of institutional accounts as required.
• Prepare necessary reports and distribute as required.
• Serve as back up for the canteen and disciplinary recorder and provide administrative support for the operations area and the major's staff.
• Perform other administrative- and security-related duties as directed or required.
