Job summary

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Booking Unit support associate to assist Corrections Deputies during inmate processing. You will handle paperwork, enter data into booking systems, and verify accuracy under supervision.

Work in a jail facility environment with 12-hour shifts, every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. A high school diploma and at least 3 months of data entry are required; six months in jail operations or law enforcement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three months data entry experience.
• Prefers six months experience in jail operations, detention, military or law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Enter and retrieve information from booking systems accurately and timely.
• Gather information from various agencies regarding inmates.
• Create files and process paperwork for incoming prisoners.
• Process and review criminal history reports and warrants.
• Ensure controlled doors and alarms are functioning for staff safety.
• Assist Deputies with warrants and searches as needed.
• Maintain punctual attendance as an essential job function.
