Job summary

The State of Ohio is seeking a qualified behavioral health professional for the Rehabilitation & Correction - Ross Correctional Institution in Chillicothe. You will deliver assessment, crisis services, and treatment planning within a secure, therapeutic setting.

Responsibilities include clinical leadership, team coordination, case management, and comprehensive documentation. A valid LISW/LPCC/IMFT license is required along with readiness for a pre-employment background check.

Qualifications

Must hold LISW, LPCC, or IMFT license in Ohio.
Background check required and pre-employment screens.
Experience in mental health treatment within a correctional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Completes detailed screens, mental health evaluations and crisis services including suicide watch assessments.
Provides clinical direction to lower level workers.
May serve as treatment team coordinator; conducts advanced practice interventions per plan.
Provides clinical case management and monitors offender compliance with the plan.
Completes psychosocial needs and treatment assessments as part of interdisciplinary planning.
Prepares transfer and discharge summaries and related reports.
Collaborates with institution staff regarding caseload and service needs.
Maintains family/community contact and coordinates referrals for re-entry.
Writes documentation of inmate contacts, progress notes, discharge plans and forms.
Attends supervision meetings and in-service trainings.
