Job summary

The State of Ohio is hiring for a full-time behavioral health position based in Caldwell, Ohio. Starting pay is approximately $70,000 based on location, with the role working under clinical supervision in a correctional environment.

As part of an interdisciplinary mental health team, you will conduct screenings, implement treatment plans, provide individual and group therapy, and coordinate with families and community agencies while documenting all activities per policy.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional counselor licensure required in Ohio.
• Experience in behavioral health and corrections environments preferred.
• Eligibility to provide mental health services under supervision as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health interventions for a caseload of offenders.
• Complete screenings and risk assessments including suicide watch when within scope.
• Conduct individual and group clinical interventions per treatment plan.
• Deliver psychosocial group interventions as prescribed.
• Provide mental health liaison services and monitor progress.
• Complete psychosocial needs and treatment assessments.
• Prepare transfer and discharge summaries.
• Consult with institution staff regarding caseload needs.
• Initiate contact with families and community agencies.
• Write reports and maintain documentation per policy.
• Attend supervision meetings and in-service trainings.
• May teach in-service sessions.
