Job summary

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) - Lebanon Correctional Institution is seeking a responsible supervisor to oversee inmate work crews, maintain security, train participants in proper work methods and safety, and ensure quality control in workshop activities.

The role involves data entry into ERP, inventory management, daily and month-end payroll, and cooperative participation in special projects; full-time, $23.65 per hour, OCSEA union, Lebanon, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes fractions, decimals & percentages.
• 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in providing work direction to employees or a work crew.
• 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in employee training & development.

Responsibilities

• Oversees work of incarcerated individuals assigned to the OPI workshop and/or engaged in service delivery.
• Provides security and custody of incarcerated individuals.
• Trains incarcerated individuals in proper work methods, equipment operation and/or safety practices in the assigned area.
• Enforces institution rules and regulations.
• Maintains control of supplies, equipment, and tools; records daily tool and chemical usage, inventory supplies.
