Job summary

The State of Ohio's Rehabilitation & Correction - Operation Support Center seeks a Correctional Workshop Specialist to supervise incarcerated workers, enforce safety rules, and manage workshops and inventories. You will train staff, maintain records, and ensure quality control while coordinating with ERP systems.

Applicants should have experience in corrections, strong leadership abilities, and the capacity to handle security responsibilities in a state facility.

Qualifications

• Experience directing incarcerated workers or a work crew.
• Knowledge of workshop policies and safety procedures.
• Ability to train and develop staff in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees work of incarcerated individuals in the OPI workshop.
• Ensures security and custody of inmates and enforces rules.
• Trains inmates in work methods, equipment use, and safety.
• Manages supplies, tools, and inventory records daily.
• Prepares reports and inputs data into the ERP system.
• Schedules and reviews work, monitors quality, and conducts payroll.
