Job summary

Okfuskee County, in Oklahoma, seeks a Correctional Training Officer to oversee staff development and training programs within a correctional facility or academy. Qualifications

• Knowledge of the principles and methods of employee training
• Knowledge of correctional security policies and procedures
• Ability to conduct classroom training, workshops or seminars
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to prepare lesson plans and training materials
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others

Responsibilities

• Conducts job analyses and assessments to evaluate employee training needs and develops curriculum.
• Prepares required curriculum, lesson plans, manuals, videos and graphics.
• Conducts classroom training, workshops or seminars for staff on various topics.
• Schedules and coordinates training sessions and locations.
• Provides supervision to other training officers in planning and conducting training programs.
• Manages contracts with service providers.
