NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Sergeant II to supervise staff, coordinate shift operations, and ensure safety and security within a state prison facility in North Carolina.

The role requires meeting criminal justice standards and passing background checks, drug screen, and medical/psychological evaluations; must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for NC certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with relevant experience requirement.
• Knowledge of facility operations and prison policies.
• Criminal justice standards and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting shift line-up, making shift assignments, and inspecting personnel for fitness.
• Completing and maintaining time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules and evaluations.
• Accounting for persons, funds and ensuring equipment is ready for post operations.
