Allied Universal is seeking a Correctional Security Guard - Unarmed in Greenville, SC. You will patrol facilities, deter incidents, and maintain a professional presence to safeguard staff and visitors.

This full-time driving post requires a valid driver’s license and compliance with site policies. You will report incidents, coordinate with site leadership, and follow procedures to ensure safety and security within a government corrections location.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a correctional facility environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, movement, and visitor access in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and appropriate personnel.

As a Correctional Security Guard - Unarmedin Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
