Job summary

NaphCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Winslow, AZ to support healthcare for individuals in the Arizona Department of Corrections. Pay ranges from $40.50 to $45.00 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff.

As a Correctional RN, you will assess patients, administer meds, manage chronic conditions, respond to emergencies, and coordinate care with correctional officers—new grads are encouraged to apply and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (AHA).
• Knowledge of nursing principles, safety standards, and applicable healthcare laws.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Flexible schedule with overtime availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments for newly detained individuals.
• Monitor and document patient health, vital signs, and medical histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess needs, develop care plans, and coordinate services.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.
• Respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid, and arrange transport to facilities.
• Educate patients on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Adhere to correctional facility security protocols while collaborating with officers.
• Maintain accurate medical records and report relevant information.
