Job summary

NaphCare is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our medical team in Tucson, Arizona, serving individuals at the Pima County Detention Center. This full-time role offers pay from $45.47 to $48.00 per hour plus a $3.00–$4.00 night shift differential and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

As a Correctional RN, you will perform health screenings, administer medications, manage chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association).
• Knowledge of nursing practice principles, safety standards, disease management, and healthcare regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
• Pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitor vital signs and document medical histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, develop care plans, and coordinate services.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.
• Respond to medical emergencies and arrange timely transport to facilities.
• Educate patients on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Adhere to correctional facility security protocols while coordinating with officers and healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans.
