Job summary

Qualifications

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within the state.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (AHA).
• Knowledge of nursing practice principles, safety standards, and health regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Pass facility background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitor vital signs and document medical histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess needs, develop care plans, and coordinate services.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes.
• Respond to medical emergencies and arrange timely transport to facilities.
• Educate patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
