Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) in Clio, AL to join the team at Easterling Correctional Facility. You will work with correctional officers and medical staff to provide care for inmates in a controlled environment, including assessments, medication administration, chronic disease management and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alabama.
• BLS CPR certification (AHA) required.
• Knowledge of nursing practice, safety standards and healthcare regulations.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime and adapt to correctional healthcare policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments for detainees.
• Monitor patient health, document vital signs and medical histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage and develop care plans.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, hypertension, diabetes).
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate transport to facilities as needed.
• Educate patients on preventive care and healthy living.
