Equiliem seeks a local contract Staff Nurse (RN) for the Bridgeton, NJ correctional facility. The 24-hours/week role supports ambulatory care for inmates within the Department of Corrections, over a 52-week term.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care to meet physiological, psychosocial and emotional needs of residents.
• Performs assessments in initial intake areas, health care units and clinics.
• Collaborates with health care professionals and security officers in a correctional environment.
• Identifies goals and implements nursing interventions per policy.
• Plans nursing care and makes timely referrals as needed.
• As team leader or charge nurse, delegates duties and guides care.
