Job summary
Staff Today Inc. in Swan Quarter, NC is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in a correctional healthcare setting. The RN will assess health conditions, administer medications, monitor progress, and coordinate with physicians.
Candidates must hold an NC RN license, have at least 1 year of RN experience, maintain required certifications, and be able to work 12-hour shifts. This is a W2, full-time role with local pay and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Current, valid NC RN license in good standing.
- At least 1 year of RN experience within the last 3 years.
- Copy of PSV or equivalent verification if required.
- Current BLS certification and immunization/TB records.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor progress, document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Coordinate with physicians and healthcare teams for patient care.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, and medications.
- Respond to changes in condition and medical emergencies promptly.
- Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope.
- Maintain accurate EMR and ensure compliance with policies.
