NaphCare is hiring Charge Registered Nurses to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida, at the Jacksonville Pre-Trial Detention Facility. As a Correctional RN, you will work with correctional officers and medical staff to provide comprehensive care to detained individuals.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Florida RN license.
• Active BLS CPR certification (AHA).
• Knowledge of nursing principles, safety standards, infectious disease management, health care laws and facility policies.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team; flexible schedule and overtime availability.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitoring and documenting patient health including vital signs and medical histories.
• Providing direct patient care, triaging and developing care plans.
• Managing acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.
• Responding to medical emergencies and ensuring timely transport to facilities.
• Educating patients on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Adhering to correctional facility security protocols and coordinating with officers and healthcare staff.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and reporting relevant information.
