Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction’s Rehabilitation & Correction - Grafton Correctional is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent full-time role at 2500 Avon Beldon Road South, Grafton, OH 44044. Starting pay is approximately $80,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits and eligibility for the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) program.

Qualifications

• Requires current licensure as registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication (oral, intramuscular, intravenous) and monitors patient medication compliance.
• Performs treatments and assists with nurse’s sick call.
• Assists with doctor’s sick call.
• Performs or assists with nursing management of chronic care clinics.
• Responds to emergencies with emergency care and CPR.
• Performs subjective and objective assessment of patients.
• Collects vital signs and documents findings.
• Collects urine and other bodily fluid specimens.
• Assists with patient transfer and discharge planning.
• Ensures discharge medication orders are completed and forwarded to pharmacy services.
• Participates in training and institution exercises.
• Provides training and work direction to staff.
• Serves as a resource to healthcare and security staff.
• Attends meetings and schedules multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Assists with inventory and ordering of medical supplies.
